With 17 years of experience, Ariel Santa Maria has helped humans and their dogs make a unique connection using a combination of classical and modern behavioral psychology.

Ariel graduated with a psychology degree from California State University San Marcos and has worked for well-known organizations such as the San Diego Humane Society and The Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, California.

Ariel is a personal trainer for owners and their dogs. She creates effective training plans that are uniquely designed and tailored to each individual dog and their family. Ariel is extremely passionate about her work and has dedicated her life to teaching humans about one of our favorite domestic species: Canis lupus familiaris, the Dog!

During the consultation, you will speak with the Canine Coach personally about your current situation and what you would like to accomplish with training. You will also receive information on what you will need to get started and schedule your in-home evaluation. The Evaluation: A Deeper Conversation

This is a more in-depth opportunity for open communication between you and the trainer. We’ll take time to discuss your dog’s history, your family dynamics, your current situation, and your goals. You’ll also have a chance to ask any questions and start learning how we can help you reach those goals. If it’s a good fit and your dog is accepted onto the training team, you’ll be able to schedule your first session with the Canine Coach at the end of the evaluation.
